ONGROK

Ongrok was first introduced to me via one of my helpful staff members, she was particularly excited when I arrived one morning, and we then spent the day ogling their catalogue. Designed in North America (AKA Canada) with what I would describe as a modern minimalistic flair. 

As for the name? Comes from the word “Grok”, a term used in Robert Heinlein’s novel – Stranger in a Strange Land. Definition? To understand something deeply, intuitively or by empathy. Which is exactly the philosophy Ongrok stands by!

SPOON PIPE

The name should give away the design, a very common style of hand pipe with a multitude of spoons on offer. Ongrok has designed a sleek minimalistic spoon that sits upright with an all glass pathway housed within an aluminium (aircraft grade) outer shell. Best of both world; purity plus protection. A smaller sized hand pipe slightly larger than the palm of my hand. 

You can easily take this pipe apart removing both the glass tube and the glass bowl for easy cleaning. There is a fine mesh screen sitting between both pieces of glass, also removable. This screen is positioned in such a way that no direct flame will touch it, helping to provide extended sessions whilst minimising any pull-throughs.

The bowl is quite deep and wide but you need not fill it completely! Borosilicate glass has been used throughout so it is pretty durable. A carb hole (shotty) is located to the very side near the base allowing you to provide extra air and to clear our smoke. Lastly, the mouthpiece is rounded off for an easy fit.
