VITAE GLASS

It was 2015 and Gordon Loi started it all just because he wanted an easier way to clean his glass water pipes. He started designing and by 2017 the first prototype was born. Fast forward 2 more years and Vitae Glass was born. Their premise is simple - to create a customisable and more importantly, easy to clean water pipe. Each comes complete with a threaded bamboo "collar" - this connector ring keeping the modular pieces connected to one another. 

18" ORIGIN

My first Vitae delivery was rather large as I pretty much got in every style that was available. To say that I was impressed is an understatement! I was even enamoured with the boxes they came in with the various parts housed in separate boxes that then slot into a larger carry style case. 

At 18" this is one of my taller bongs and I have had to place it on the shelves by the window as it is too tall to fit with the other bongs! All good though as Vitae uses some incredibly thick (5mm!) and beautiful borosilicate glass. This glass is non-porous and will not absorb odours as others may. A durable piece that reflects light so nicely. This straight tube-style bong is technically 2 pieces of glass that are held together securely by the connector ring. The base is a marvel of engineering with a sphere perc built in. Think of a slightly squashed ball with holes all over! This perc will provide advanced levels of filtration by breaking up smoke into a crazy number of smaller bubbles. 

The down stem is fixed into a banger hanger style curving down into the water chamber. The fennel shaped bowl has a custom designed green leaf imprinted upon it. A 14mm male bowl that you can remove to clean or clear out smoke. You are also provided with x2 cleaning corks, one smaller and one larger. 

Above the bamboo ring sits the Trio mouthpiece. Trio??? There are 3 holes within the glass and you can slip 3 fingers into these holes for an easy grip. This feature will also play a role in diminishing splash back whilst also forcing smoke to slow down as it travels up the neck.  

Measuring: Just over 45cms tall!!
