Arizer has been a trusted name in the Vape game for over a decade now. Coming out with desirable vaporisers one after the after. Each built using the highest-grade materials that Arizer can get their hands on (Glass, Ceramic, Anodized Aluminium and Stainless Steel). The ArGo is a smaller sibling to the Arizer Air 2 and the Solo 2 dry herb vaporisers but with all the best qualities of both. A smaller and lighter (mostly anodized aluminium body) version of both making the ArGo a fabulous option for those looking for a premium level, easy to transport dry herb vaporiser. A belt clip carry case is provided within this kit for the ultimate in transportability! As for warranty, the ArGo carries a lifetime warranty on the heating element and a limited 2-year warranty covering defects in materials or workmanship, excluding battery. Glass is not covered under warranty (sadly!).
The premise of the ArGo is simple and unique when compared to other vaporiser, you pre-load glass Aroma Tubes with your herbal material. These tubes are 7cms long (without cap) and insert directly into the ArGo where they connect with the ceramic heating dish. The glass tubes are also the actual pathway that your vapour travels through.
Measurements – 9cm tall, 5cms wide and 2.5cms deep.
BATTERY CAPACITY/INTERCHANGEABLE BATTERY
Before I delve into the particulars of this vape, I will mention a pretty important feature (at least I think so!). One of the biggest complaints I hear in regard to herbal vaping is the incessant charging that is required. This can be a real issue for those that are absent minded or like to enjoy extended sessions as the vast majority of vapes do not allow you to charge whilst vaping or to change out the battery. Not so with the ArGo! This innovative little vape allows you to not only remove the internal battery (18650) and replace it with a fresh one (a good option when you are nowhere near a power source) or you can charge the battery within the ArGo whilst still continuing to vape (pass through capability).
PATENTED HYBRID HEATING TECHNOLOGY WITH CERAMIC HEATING ELEMENT
The ArGo utilises a patented Hybrid Heating Technology with a combination of conduction and convection heating methods used, providing you with some of the smoothest and efficient vapour available on the market today. The mixing of both these heating styles results in a fuller flavour and more intense vapour.
A ceramic heating element sits within the base of the ArGo just above the air intake holes. Ceramic heating chambers are very popular in a wide variety of herbal vaporisers as they heat nice and evenly in a moderately quick fashion. The Aroma Tubes sit directly upon the heating element when inserted within the vape.
PRECISE DIGITAL TEMPERATURE CONTROL
A small control panel can be found front and centre of the Argo consisting of a little OLED Screen and 3 buttons – Menu (m), Plus (+) and Minus (-). You can easily control all that the Argo does with these 3 buttons, including the all-important temperature selection (adjustable via either 1 or 10 degree increments). The Argo has a rather wide temperature range, wider than most that I sell ranging from 50°C to 220°C. I personally love this feature as it enables you to vape a wide variety of medicinal herbs (lavender, camomile etc) that all require different levels of temperature for an effective medicinal response. The Argo has an included audible beeping sound that can be dialled up/down in volume or turned on/off completely. The beep can be heard when powering the unit on/off (one beep) or when the selected temperature has been reached (two beeps). Other control functions available include power on delay (6 second default), automatic shut-off timer adjustment (10-minute default) as well as x3 brightness settings.
TIP: Celsius is the default setting but you can easily select Fahrenheit if that is your thing.
VAPOUR PATHWAY/AROMA TUBES
A borosilicate glass vapour path (Aroma Tube) runs the length of the Argo from the ceramic heating dish located near the base up to where your lips meet the mouthpiece, resulting in as pure a vapour as you can get. X2 ArGo Glass Aroma Tubes are provided in this kit. The pathway within the ArGo is isolated and works in the following way: at the base of the unit you will see many small holes, this is where air enters the heating system. The heated vapour then travels moved through the Borosilicate Glass Aroma Tubes directly into your mouth. Why is an isolated pathway important? Purer and healthier vapour is created when the internal pathway does not come into contact with any electronic components or other non-heat safe materials.
TIP: Arizer has included a nifty little feature to protect the expose mouthpiece portion of the aroma tubes. The top of the ArGo can be pushed down or extended out (release button on the back) depending on whether you want to inhale or protect the glass for travel.
CYCLONIC AIRFLOW ACTION
The design (conduction/convection) of the ArGo coupled with the multitude of air intake holes contributes to a vape that deliver some pretty impressive airflow and vapour production. The Aroma Tubes are wide allowing for a nice flow of air/vapour. For those of you that like your vapour on the larger side I would dial up the temperature.
This is an interesting unit to load. Recommended that you use a grinder with dry herb vaporisers to maintain consistency and to vape efficiently. Place your ground up material into a bowl and select an aroma tube.
- Gently push the tube into the ground herb (make sure you are filling the correct end – look for the internal bowl), slightly twisting to fill the tube. Do not press too hard or pack too tightly and gently tap it to loosen your herb so that air may pass through freely. It is recommended that you leave a small gap between your herb and the end of the glass for less mess.
- Place the Aroma Tube gently within the ArGo, pushing it all the way in. Press down on the top portion to expose the mouthpiece.
- Hold down + and m buttons to power on the device (no 5 clicks for this unit!). A timer will count down showing you power on delay before you see a greeting message.
- Press any of the 3 button and the ArGo will start to heat to the last set temperature. You can modify the temperature at this point by using the +/- buttons.
- Once desired temperature is reached (double beep unless you have disabled the sound), time for the inhalations to begin. Long and slow will work best and be patient.
As the cleaning freak that I am, the ArGo makes me very happy as parts are removeable for easy dosage, loading and cleaning! Probably one of the easiest dry herb units that I sell to maintain and clean. Sweep out the tubes between uses (easier if tube is still warm). As for the actual Ceramic Heating Element I would also use a very long ear bud (as high quality as you can get as you don’t want cotton to unravel within chamber) to clean out any loose herb between uses.
The Aroma Tubes are best cleaned using Isopropyl Alcohol (soak and rinse) and I would also wipe down the actual mouthpiece portion every few uses.
