Arizer has been a trusted name in the Vape game for over a decade now. Coming out with desirable vaporisers one after the after. Each built using the highest-grade materials that Arizer can get their hands on (Glass, Ceramic and Stainless Steel). The Solo II is a new and improved version of the beloved original Solo. This is a great compact, lightweight and portable device for vaping on the go, and even comes with a carry case that clips onto your belt buckle. The included aroma tubes can be pre-loaded for use anywhere and anytime. Arizer offers a 1-year warranty on the battery, 2 years on the vaporiser and life time on the heating element.
Portable, yet considered to be a very powerful vaporiser that is fuss free and very easy to use. A great option for your first dry herb vaporiser or if you just want a durable device that delivers on hits and flavour. A best seller amongst my medicinal marijuana customers. Every aspect of the Solo II has been improved upon from the original including faster heat up, improved airflow and thicker cloud production. The shape has even been improved upon, making it easier to hold and transport. Additionally, the Solo II can also use pre-existing accessories that you may have from the original Solo.
The Solo II heats via hybrid technology (patented) and has an extremely unique and fuss-free loading system. Individual temperatures can be set via the OLED Screen and up/down buttons. A 10-minute session is standard with this unit and it will power down at that point. As a dual use herbal vaporiser you are able to effectively vape your wax/thick oils as easily as dry herb usage. The appropriate aroma tube is all that is required. X3 aroma tubes (one is technically a glass bowl tube) are provided in this kit.
One of the biggest drawcards of this unit is its astoundingly long battery life (3400mAh) – I’m talking 3 hours people!! Regular herbal vape users can attest to how long this is. Can also be described as up to 20 uses per charge. Built in protections provide overcharge protection and prevents the battery form draining too low. A further brilliant and uncommon feature is the fact that you can still vape even whilst charging (pass through), just wait a few minutes if completely dead. So, all in all the bases are completely covered and you need never run out of power again. For fast and efficient charging, a mains wall charger is provided in this kit, but a converter is required (I am working on providing these with purchase from We are Lux).
PATENTED HYBRID HEATING
The Solo II utilises patented hybrid heating with a combination of conduction and convection used and compared to most of the other herbal vaporisers I sell (and use!) has a very unique loading system. No simple ceramic chamber to load but aroma tubes are provided that slip directly into the heating chamber. Not just any heating chamber though, a very powerful heater that can give you back to back massive hits time and time again. This unit also allows you to vape herbal oils. A special glass bowl tube is provided. See below for instruction.
The airflow in the Solo II has been enhanced providing a smooth draw for maximum extraction of pure vapour and flavour. Definitely not too restrictive due to the recessed heat jets in the bowl. If flavour chasing is your thing (as it is mine!) then you will absolutely love this unit. The vapour pathway is all glass (medical grade borosilicate), helping to further smooth out and cool down the vapour. When packed correctly your herbal material touches only glass providing incredible flavour.
OLED SCREEN AND TEMPERATURE
To control the unit there is an OLED Screen and 3 buttons – menu, up and down buttons. Extremely easy to use, press the menu button to navigate through the settings and the up and down buttons to modify. As previously stated, this unit heats up quickly (less than 30 seconds) and has a wide temperature range – 50°C to 220°C. The temperature can be adjusted by either 1 or 10 degree increments and will default to last set temperature. Other control functions available include; beep volume up/down or off, power on delay (6 second default), automatic shut-off timer adjustment (10-minute default), change between Celsius and Fahrenheit as well as x3 brightness settings.
TIP: Don’t forget that you are able to vape a wide variety of herbs (lavender, chamomile etc) with this vaporiser due to the very wide temperature range provided.
This is an interesting unit to load. Recommended that you use a grinder with dry herb vaporisers to maintain consistency and to vape efficiently. Place your ground up material into a bowl and select an aroma tube (longer stem good for lounging around at home whilst the shorter one work well when out and about). Remove the rubberised cap from the loading end and gently push the tube into the ground herb (make sure you are filling the correct end – the thicker end), slightly twisting to fill the tube. Do not press too hard or pack too tightly. You may need to heat the unit before inserting the tubes (especially when new).
Unlike most other dry herb vaporisers, you don’t press the power button 5 times to turn on the device. Press and hold the menu and up button simultaneously. A count down will appear on the screen and you will be greeted with a welcoming hi on the screen. You are now in stand by mode. Press the up button to set your temperature to its highest (220°) for tube insertion. Let the unit run a full cycle (10 minutes). You are now ready for tube insertion! Align the tube with the heating chamber (loading side down) and firmly press into place. You are now ready to vape. Simply power on your Solo II (again) and this time set your temperature to your favourite degree. Once desired temp is reached just inhale slow and steady. Be patient as the vapour may take a short while to really get going, about 20 seconds and the vapour will really appear! Your unit will automatically power down after 10 minutes or if you finish earlier simply press the power button for 2 seconds and it will turn off.
AROMATHERAPY/HERBAL OIL USAGE
The Solo II is primarily a dry herb device but has the ability to vape aromatherapy/herbal oils as well. A glass aroma dish is provided for this purpose. Loading this dish/tube is a little different to the above method. Load the dish with some ground up botanicals and/or a few drops of essential oil. You will be loading and inserting this dish in the upright position, with the larger opening upwards. Once the unit is on and heated (best temp range is 50°-100°C) hold the dish under your nose and gently inhale. A bag of lavender is provided in the kit for you to try.
As the cleaning freak that I am, the Solo II makes me very happy as parts are removable for easy dosage, loading and cleaning! Probably one of the easiest dry herb units that I sell to maintain and clean. Sweep out the chamber between uses (easier if tube is till warm). For more in-depth cleaning, Isopropyl Alcohol doused cotton buds (Hemper tech Snap Caps are brilliant!) are all that you will need to give the heating chamber a thorough clean out, whereby the aroma tubes can be placed into a bowl of Isopropyl to soak. Shake out the tubes, rinse, dry and you are ready to go. Simples!
