The Myth The Legend
Keith Haring was that bold dude with a marker who turned the New York City subway into his personal art studio. Born in '58 in Pennsylvania, he wasn’t raised fancy — he just loved drawing. When he hit NYC, the graffiti scene lit a fire in him. Instead of chasing galleries, he grabbed chalk and started sketching glowing babies, dancing people, and barking dogs on blank ad panels underground.
His stuff was loud, fun, and full of meaning. But it wasn’t just about looking cool — Keith used his art to speak up about AIDS, racism, and love. He believed art should be for everyone, not just rich people in museums.
Even when he found out he had AIDS, he didn’t slow down. He made murals, ran his foundation, and kept spreading his message until the very end. Keith didn’t just leave art behind — he left a legacy that still moves today.
