We Are Lux is an independent Australian 420 lifestyle and specialist accessories retailer established in 2015. Based in Bondi Junction, Sydney, we combine a physical bricks-and-mortar store with an online store shipping throughout Australia and internationally.

We specialise in premium glassware, bongs and water pipes, herb grinders and mills, rolling papers and cones, storage, cleaning products, accessories and carefully selected 420 lifestyle products from Australian and international brands.
Unlike an online-only retailer, customers can visit us in person, see and handle many of our products and speak directly with people who have spent years working with the products and industries we represent.
More Than 20 Years of Horticulture & Technical Experience
We Are Lux is owned and operated by Mischa Esquilant and Irena Katz.
Mischa brings more than 20 years of professional experience in horticulture, hydroponics and technical equipment. His background includes professional horticulture and arboriculture, hydroponic systems, cultivation equipment, lighting and environmental control systems, as well as importing, distribution and technical product support.
Long before We Are Lux opened in 2015, Mischa was working with specialist horticultural technology and equipment. That experience is an important part of how we assess products today: we are interested not only in how a product looks, but how it is designed, how it functions, how well it is manufactured and whether it genuinely offers something worthwhile to our customers.
Irena Katz — LadyLux420
Irena Katz, also known as LadyLux420, brings a different but complementary area of expertise to We Are Lux.
Irena is a qualified naturopath (non-practising) with a background in Human Health Sciences, natural therapies and herbal medicine. For more than 20 years, natural medicine, herbal therapies and the developing medicinal cannabis industry have been areas of particular interest to her.
Her focus at We Are Lux has always been education, responsible product selection and giving customers somewhere they can ask questions without being judged.
Irena personally researches and curates a large proportion of the products available through We Are Lux, with particular attention to quality, design, function, innovation and harm minimisation.
A Long History With International Brands
Since our early years, We Are Lux has worked directly with manufacturers, brand owners, wholesalers and distributors around the world.
Over the years we have imported, represented or distributed products from internationally recognised brands including PAX, DaVinci and Healthy Rips, while our broader range has grown to include brands such as GRAV, RAW, King Palm, Flower Mill, Pulsar, Marley Natural, Jane West, Empire Glassworks, MJ Arsenal and many others.
We don't simply add products because a brand is fashionable or has a large following. Products are selected based on quality, functionality, design, value and whether we believe there is a genuine reason for them to be part of the Australian market.
That approach has also resulted in We Are Lux developing direct relationships with overseas manufacturers and, where applicable, becoming an authorised, exclusive or specialist Australian distributor or stockist.
Where We Are Lux currently holds an authorised or exclusive Australian distribution relationship, we identify that relationship clearly on the relevant brand page. Because distribution arrangements can change, we prefer to keep those statements current rather than make outdated claims.
Product Knowledge & Industry Education
Education has always been a significant part of We Are Lux.
Our experience goes beyond simply selling products. Over the years we have provided product education and industry information to consumers as well as professionals, including introductory education for pharmacists, doctors and other industry participants around cannabis, delivery methods, product categories and the rapidly developing medicinal cannabis industry.
We also spend a considerable amount of time helping customers understand how products work, the differences between competing technologies, compatibility between components, appropriate maintenance and safer or more efficient ways of using the equipment they purchase.
Irena has a particular interest in consumer education and harm minimisation, while Mischa's background provides the technical and horticultural knowledge behind many of these discussions.
