Collectible art has always been something I am drawn to, and I tend to favour brands that incorporate art into their design. Milkyway is one such brand with over 10 years of experience in glass making techniques including their signature sandblasting. Highly detailed glassware is their specialty (experts in graphical design) and according to their site their goal is to elicit “feelings” from the user, crafting sensory experiences for like minded folks.

BEE HIVE WET ASH CATCHER

It appears that Milkyway has a thing for bees with quite an extensive range of products within their ever-growing Hive Collection of glasswares. I too am a staunch admirer of bees! Each ash catcher is a work of art with Milkyway's signature bumble bee and honeycomb pattern encircling each piece. Each port is frosted for a tight fit. Pink or clear glass is on offer and please ensure that you select the correct angle for your bong - once in position your flower bowl should always point straight up towards the sky.

TIP: These ash catchers will hold a 14mm male flower bowl and they will insert into a 14mm female down stem.

These are ash catchers, accessories/parts that can be added to an existing bong setup. They sit in-between the down stem and the flower bowl and they perform 2 main roles - extending the pathway that smoke travels whilst accumulating gunk before it can enter into the water chamber of your bong. My customers with intricate bongs and those that value a clean rig generally include an ash catcher.

This is an ash catcher that you use with water included. Ash catchers that incorporate a down stem with or without diffusion are designed to hold water effectively providing 2 water chambers for smoke to pass through. The showerhead percolator within will provide the first layer of deep filtration. Double filtration should provide a cleaner, smoother and cooler experience. Your ash catcher will need to be cleaned regularly.

Should I use an ash catcher?

The answer depends on a few factors but the 2 main ones to consider are related to ease and comfort. Do you struggle with deep inhalations and/or do you find cleaning to be a chore. Extending and restricting the pathway that smoke travels is an easy way to increase comfort levels, helping to decrease harshness. Bongs that include intricate percolators can be quite difficult to maintain and keep clean, an ash catcher can help simplify the process.

Wet or dry ash catcher?

A wet ash catcher will have a down stem that extends down into the body whilst a dry version is just an empty void within. Both versions will extend the pathway and help to keep your bong cleaner but one offers just a little more than the other. With a wet ash catcher you are effectively creating a scenario where filtration will occur twice. The deeper the filtration the cleaner and cooler the experience.

Eligibility for Returns

We accept returns under the following conditions:

• Timeframe: Returns must be initiated within 5 days of receiving your order.
• Product Condition: Items must be unused, unopened, and in their original packaging, with the packaging in the same condition as when received.
• Proof of Purchase: A valid proof of purchase (e.g., receipt, order confirmation) is required.

• Change of Mind: Returns due to a change of mind are not accepted.
• Damaged or Faulty Items: If your item is damaged or faulty, please refer to our Handling Damaged Deliveries section.

Return Process

Handling Damaged Deliveries

If you discover that your items are damaged upon opening:

o Take clear photographs of the damaged item(s), the packaging (including any visible damage), and the parcel label showing the tracking number.
o Retain all original packaging materials, as they may be required for the claim assessment.
2. Record the Unboxing:
o We highly recommend video recording the unboxing process. This documentation is crucial for any potential claims regarding damaged or missing items.
3. Lodge a Claim with Australia Post:
o As the recipient, you are required to lodge a claim directly with Australia Post for any damages incurred during transit.
o Visit your nearest Australia Post Office with the damaged item and original packaging to complete a damage report.
o Provide valid photo identification (e.g., driver's licence) to comply with Australia Post's privacy regulations.
o Request and complete the Green PM26 Form, ensuring you include the tracking number. This form links the claim to our account details, facilitating the refund process.
o Note: Only the person to whom the item is addressed can lodge the claim.
4. Provide Us with the Claim Reference:
o After lodging the claim, please send us the receipt and reference number provided by Australia Post. This will allow us to assist you in following up on the claim and provide any necessary support.
