RYOT x Chocolate 2 Piece Maple Grinder - Red

WHAT AM I?

This is the most unique grinder that currently sits within the cupboard. 2 pieces held together via a magnet with no actual storage zone within. Shaped like a square with teeth like no other. This is a collaboration between 2 giants; RYOT and Chocolate. RYOT has been on the scene from around the year 2000 and are a brand that focusses on clean and simple design. They offer quite a wide selection of products ranging from innovative odour proof storage, one hitters and highly functional glassware.

Established in 1994 Chocolate are a team of pro-skateboarders. The Chocolate Team has an impressive line up of riders that travel the globe to perform their magic. If you are interested in seeing them there is a documentary called “Pretty Sweet” that has been filmed all over the world. Chocolate also sells products, mainly decks and wheels but also clothing and accessories.

WHY AM I SPECIAL?

RYOT’s latest collaboration includes this quite eye-catching grinder. Made from Maple wood and coloured in a beautiful shade of red with a Chocolate logo on one side (bottom) and the RYOT logo on the other (top). Maple is considered to be extremely durable, beautiful and resistant to scratches.

TIP: This grinder is based on the Original Design Patented in 1905.

This is a 2-piece grinder with a magnetic connection between top and bottom lid. 2 magnets within will grab the lid and keep it in place. As a 2-piece there will not be a separate storage zone within this grinder, and you will need to grind as needed (not a bad thing!). 18 stainless steel teeth sit on the top lid and 20 on the bottom. These are not teeth that resemble those that can be found in most standard grinders, and I would describe them more like spikes/nails. These teeth are super-tough and will take a beating without warping or loss of teeth. A fluffy grind is to be expected.

Measuring: 5.5cms x 5.5cms (is a square) and almost 3cms tall.
