SoftGlass Pier 4" Silicone and Borosilicate Glass Bubbler w/Cartridge Adapter

Softglass is an interesting name for a brand specialising in glassware used primarily for  smoking and I held off for a while whilst I spent time educating myself. The design element and ease of cleaning drew me towards this particular brand. Justin Cohen is the designer, an award winning industrial designer with a minimalist aesthetic. Designed and engineered in the USA. 

SILICONE BUBBLER

Deceptive name as the silicone is mainly the outer skin with a glass bowl and down stem within. The water chamber is part of the main silicone body. A bubbler refers to a specific style of water pipe, whereby the bowl is located at the very top with a vertical down stem extending down into the water. The bowl and down stem is an all-in-one piece made with durable borosilicate glass. A deep capacity flower bowl and a simple tube down stem and there is a small silicone cap to cover the bowl. 

Measuring: Just over 10cms.

The practically indestructible silicone body is really thick and separates into 2 portions enabling easy access within. The end of the down stem sits within the silicone water chamber. Platinum cured silicone is safe to be used for water pipes and the design of this bubbler is such that when the both halves fit together tightly. 

This is technically a dual use bubbler, flower/buds and oil cartridges can be used. A silicone cartridge adapter is provided that slips firmly into the flower bowl. You can then insert a 510 threaded cartridge (+ battery) directly into the adapter allowing you to filter your vapour via water for smoother hits.
