Classic ashtray collection for indoor and outdoor

To me, an ashtray is not just an ashtray and if you are like me, I look beyond its functionality but choose the ashtray according to the indoor or outdoor setting. The art of cigar enjoyment or something else, goes hand in hand with the style of the space you are in.

For over a decade, I have proudly built a collection of cigar ashtrays that go beyond functional pieces but are cool conversation starters. If you have found this article, you are at least an art aficionado, if not, a cigar aficionado. My rule is a great and beautiful ashtray will always elevate your experience.  

Although I stock ashtrays for various uses, my favorites are the cigar ashtrays. Molded into ceramic, glass or crystal, is a deep bowl and deep grooves that give the cigar ashtray authority on any indoor coffee table or outdoor garden table. Even for the non-smokers, it somehow commands some respect. 

In today’s modern culture, it is considered polite to take your smoking outside. My focus has lately been on collecting the  sturdy, crystal glass outdoor ashtray, heavy enough to withstand the elements outside. Durability and nice design of course go hand in hand. 

Even though I am not a cigar smoker and do not belong to the distinguished club of cigar aficionados, I catch myself late at night looking for the next cute ashtray for my shop. A great ashtray has a timeless elegance and has to still look great with ash in it. As most of my ashtray collections are international orders, I appreciate the value of patience…yep you guessed it…I can’t wait to open the box myself! 

I stare at each new item for hours, fall in love, and only then, have the confidence to list it for sale on my website. 

I always try to process online purchases within 1 or 2 business days. First order in, at the latest, next business day, the order ships out to you. Unless I stare too long at the new art piece or it's a public holiday!

Even though a beautiful, one-of-a-kind, designer, crystal ashtray is solely destined to adore my mahogany coffee table, in today's society, the item could be negatively associated with "smoking" and that is none of anybody's business. Therefore the condition of any purchase from my shop is our respect to the most important part of the privacy policy...discreet and secure packaging with its contents for your eyes only. 

What has kept the hunt fun during all these years of hunting goodies for the shop, is that everybody's vision of a "nice ashtray" is different. For example, one client might be looking for a retro Japanese crystal cut ashtray to place next to the Bonzi tree, or someone who is a modern art collector might just fall in love with the Keith Haring Circle Catch All ashtray. One of my personal favorites by the way. 

To sum it all up, if you take pride in the interior or exterior design of your home space, consider the ashtray as a piece of art that can complement the rest of your furniture and decorations. Functionality is a given, and style is chosen.
